In addition, he established Punjab Film City, North India’s first film city, intending to inspire the dreams of the youth. His philosophy of being a “ball-playing father rather than a ball-buying father” emphasises his commitment to empowering the next generation with skills, confidence, and opportunities. His passion for innovation and cultural pride has been crucial in the growth of Punjab Film City.
Iqbal Singh Cheema serves as the driving force behind Punjab Film City, combining over 15 years of leadership experience in the manufacturing and entertainment sectors. A qualified engineer with a Master’s in Entrepreneurship, he has been instrumental in conceptualising and bringing Punjab Film City to fruition. His vision is to position Punjab Film City as a global hub for film, photography, and storytelling while creating opportunities for Punjab’s youth and preserving its cultural heritage.
